Moof Fitness Studio by Bárbara Bardín and Julio Cano approaches the gym not as a single interior, but as the prototype for a wider network of specialised fitness spaces. The brief called for a strong architectural identity, yet the project avoids the visual noise and sensory excess often associated with contemporary gyms. Instead, it proposes a unisex environment shaped by calm, clarity and spatial discipline.
At the centre of the project is the idea of architecture as a system. The gym is conceived as an architectural Meccano, assembled from prefabricated powder coated elements that can be mounted dry on site. This construction logic allows the space to be built, dismantled and reconfigured over time. Rather than a fixed object, the interior becomes an adaptable framework, capable of changing without losing coherence and of being repeated across different locations.

The plan is arranged around two principal areas, dedicated respectively to floor training and strength training. These zones are separated without interrupting the continuity of the space. Perforated metal sheeting is used throughout as a single architectural language, giving the interior a sense of unity while allowing different degrees of openness, privacy and focus.

Taken from an industrial vocabulary and reinterpreted with precision, the perforated metal becomes a filtering device. It structures the gym through a sequence of semi transparent layers, allowing views to pass through while softening the boundaries between activities. As light moves across the surface, the perforations produce shifting shadows and reflections, animating the interior with a quiet sense of rhythm.
Privacy is created through gradation rather than enclosure. The two training areas remain visually connected within a continuous open environment, where users can move between intensity and concentration without feeling exposed or confined.

The restrained palette reinforces the character of the project. Melongelb RAL 1028 gives warmth and energy to the structural system, while technical white enhances brightness and spatial clarity. Electric blue appears as a precise graphic accent within the communication elements, bringing a sharp visual code to the otherwise controlled interior.
This use of colour does not function as decoration alone. It helps define the identity of Moof Fitness Studio as a replicable model, where architecture, signage and user experience are integrated into a single visual system.

The logic of layering continues on the façade, where a double skin of perforated metal mediates the relationship between the gym and the urban environment. The building does not fully reveal itself to the street, but filters visibility through texture, depth and light.

Signage is formed from folded metal elements, creating a three dimensional expression that shifts according to viewpoint and illumination. A continuous illuminated band completes the façade, linking the activity inside with the movement of the city beyond.
With Moof Fitness Studio, Bárbara Bardín and Julio Cano redefine the gym as a flexible architectural framework. More than an interior for exercise, the project proposes a calm, adaptable and recognisable spatial system centred on the experience of the user.
